Mining and Resources

From pit to processing plant.

Mining is the sector Oxwana was built in. Not as an adjacent capability or an additional vertical, but as the foundation of everything we do. Our experience spans hard rock and bulk commodity mining, mineral processing, critical minerals, and the full range of technical and commercial disciplines that sit within the industry.

That depth matters. It means we understand what separates a good site general manager from a great one. It means we can have an informed conversation about the difference between heap leach and CIL, or between an owner-operator model and a contractor-led site. It means candidates take our calls.

A market under pressure

The global mining workforce is under structural strain. The skills that the industry needs, particularly in metallurgy, mine planning, geotechnical engineering, and technical services, are in short supply. At the same time, the critical minerals boom is pulling experienced professionals in multiple directions across lithium, cobalt, copper, nickel, and rare earths.

Add to that the ongoing challenge of operating in remote and frontier markets, managing FIFO and residential workforce models, and navigating the regulatory and social licence requirements of increasingly scrutinised mining operations, and the talent problem becomes clear. Good hiring in this sector requires a partner who is already embedded in the networks that matter.

Where we work

Oxwana operates across the full mining value chain and across all major mining jurisdictions. Africa, where we have deep roots, is a particular area of strength, but our reach extends across APAC, the Americas, Central Asia, and the Middle East.

We work at every level of the organisation, from site supervisors and metallurgical technicians through to General Managers, Chief Operating Officers, and board-level appointments.
