Every executive search begins with a thorough briefing process. We need to understand the role, the organisation, the leadership dynamic, and the specific outcomes the hire is expected to deliver. Generic job descriptions produce generic shortlists. We push back until we have a clear and honest brief.
From there, we map the market. Not the people who are actively looking, but the people who are performing well in comparable roles and might consider a move for the right opportunity. This is passive candidate engagement, and it requires a level of trust that takes time and market presence to build.

Confidentiality
Many senior searches are confidential. The incumbent may not yet have been told. The market should not know a role is open. We manage this with care, running searches with full discretion and only bringing candidates into the process when both sides have been properly prepared.
What differentiates our approach
We do not present large shortlists. Three to five well-qualified, genuinely interested candidates is worth more than ten who are there to make up numbers. We assess fit as rigorously as we assess capability.
We also stay involved through offer, acceptance, and the early months in role. The search is not complete at the point of hire.
